I need a reset of sorts after this awful week. Planning to be really strick with my diet/only eating clean foods. 

Trying to come up with a solid exercise plan. Any suggestions??

Today while I was on campus I found this cute little card that really brightened my day. I’ve been more stressed than usual and generally just a tad bit down, but this really brought a smile to my face. It’s nice to know that there are people out there who genuinely care about people and would take the time out of their day to do something as nice as this. It’s easy to begin to think of how evil the world is, but it’s equally good. In fact, I think when pushed to the test good always outweighs the evil.

Woah, my body is on a roller coaster.

Woke up. Saw that I gained four pounds. Felt way more emotional than necessary. Felt excessively tired despite getting a good night’s sleep. Started my period a few hours later. That explains a lot. Thanks, body. Thanks a lot. 

Outfit of the day! I’m getting so into fashion, well, not so much just getting into it, but rather finally not hating the way I look in clothes that I like. I think that I’m going to start doing some outfit of the day posts. Sorry for the bad photo quality. Working on that!

I hope everyone is doing well and keeping it healthy today! So the most random thing is happening to me tonight; my friend is filming a news story about Valentine’s Day and she asked to feature my roommate and I who write a blog about being single and (jokingly) hating our lives and the random/awkward situations we seem to always find ourselves in. So I’m off to do that now which is pretty cool. 

Happy Fat Tuesday!! Resist the temptation if it’s around you!! My roommates are throwing a party tonight in an effort to fully participate in the “glory” that is Fat Tuesday, so I’m going to really have to exercise my will power. :p

I think I’ll still go for a run later tonight, but this is what I’ve already done today in an effort to mix up my routine rather than only running and working out on cardio machines. I hope everyone is having a great day so far!! Keep it healthy! 

I do realize that I’m slow as Christmas, but I’m working on that. ;) I have until March 23rd, which is when I run my first official 5k. My secret goal is to do as well as my sister. :p

Just squeezed in a workout at the gym at my apartment.

5k on the treadmill followed by 2 miles on the bike. 

All I ever do is cardio, but I know I need to/really want to start doing some strength training. What are y’alls best recommendations for strength training/what did you do when you first got started??

Being lame this Friday evening…

So I’m currently sitting at home by myself drinking a nice cup of tea. I actually got dressed and ready to go down town with all of my friends, but for some reason I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I actually changed back into my pajamas while my friends were pre-gaming. I have been in such a funk the last few days and I can’t seem to break out of it, which is frustrating. I really want to stop drinking so I can get to my ideal weight and just be generally more healthy, but I have to admit it’s really hard. So instead of going out and possibly bringing everyone else down I’m just going to stay in and try to relax and do some reflecting/planning on how to do better/be healthier. 

How is everyone else doing?

It’s been one month since I’ve eaten meat!! :D
